What are Engineering Plastics (Polymers)?
Engineering polymers are a category/group of plastic materials that possess better thermal and/or mechanical properties than commodity plastics (like PVC, polypropylene, etc.), yet don’t have the extreme properties found in the more expensive high-performance plastics. Engineering plastics are typically utilized for their simplicity in manufacturing while possessing traits that allow them to replace traditional materials such as wood or metals.
